Firstly, anyone notice we're now 139 members now? How awesome is that!!?
I've made a few changes to the categories. "Other" has been renamed "Other Symphonic Metal". "Similar genres" and "bandname - similar genre" are the only categories to put non symphonic metal into, please try to submit to the correct categories! If you are lost about anything just leave a comment on the main page or send a note

As well as new albums being recorded from the likes of Within Temptation, Epica, Tarja and (in a similar genre) Lacuna Coil. Could we also see the long-awaited releases from bands such as Wintersun, Haggard, Dimmu Borgir and Diablo Swing Orchestra? Time will tell.
